City Of Glass by Cassandra Clare Review

OMG!!! This is the most intense and gripping book i have read in the mortal instruments so far. Everything i have been wanting to find out has been finally revealed! There are a lot of memorable events that happened in this book and i can still remember it clearly in my head. The ending for this is so good, it seems possible to leave it as it is, but then there's three more books to go which makes me so curious as to what still could happen? The plot was so thought through and everything seemed to be plotted very carefully, Cassandra Clare is now one of my most favourite authors of all time which means if she makes other works or series, i will definitely give it a go, no questions asked.

SPOILER ISH below

Before reading any further down this review, i suggest you stop because i am going to say what it's about and it would be a bit of a spoiler for some who haven't read the first two. GOOooooooo.
The story follows Clary and her group, jace, simon, lightwoods etc and after what happened with Valentine, she has arrived in Alicante which is a shadow hunter world. At first she wanted to go there simply because of her mother, who is in a deep coma and so she went there to try and find a antidote in which she can help wake her mother up. But things got more complicated as Valentine butts in trying to destroy all shadow hunters. Then it goes on about how Clary finds out the truth about all of her secrets, as well as Jaces' and what happened in the past whilst trying to stop Valentine by fighting with the help of the Downworlders. I gave this book a 5/5 in Goodreads and it was because i wanted it to be 4.5. The stars are for the fabulous writing as well as the plot twists. The author made the main character so relatable even though it's a fantasy novel which is clever and smart. I didn't get tired of hearing what happened in the past about the other side characters, i actually liked it and find it very fitting for the novel. It made me like the characters more as well as understand the story more because it helped develop the main characters more. I loved how it isn't always about Clary. The ending is really likable in this third book because it isn't cliff hanger and it's kind of a happy ending. The ending didn't just fly through quickly like some other books i've seen, it's really well elaborated and clear as to what's happening afterwards.
