I will be honest, i did not find this book interesting or likeable at all. I won't say i hate it but i will say i dislike this book. I was so excited to start The 5th Wave after reading the summary and looking at all these good reviews on Goodreads. In most cases even if i find a book not so interesting, i still read the whole thing because i always hope and wish that it will get better or the ending will fill in all the dislikable things about the book.

First of the, i do find the apocalypse setting to be interesting and unique but that is it. The characters are annoyingly annoying and sometimes even random. The fact that the author had more than 1 character's POV was confusing and not effective at all. One minute i thought Cassie was the main character and i was getting used to have her there, the next a guy just pops up.
Character development doesn't seem to exist in this book...

The more i go into this book, the more it feels like i am reading a Divergent fan fiction. With the war, the kids going training blah blah. The whole plot just stays in one big hole, there doesn't seem to have any plot developments. To summarise what the whole book is about, it is about the thoughts and feelings of the teenagers that has been affected since the 4th wave, their emotions, denial and rants about getting scared and hating the so called- aliens.

The only thing i like a tad bit in this book is Cassie and Evan's relationship. Apart from that, it seems like the author wants to rush everything, one minute Cassie likes the guy the next he doesn't then things go weird and then they act like they know each other for years when they just met less than a week...

Please note that this is just my impression and opinion of the book. Everyone has different opinions so yeah...
