It would have been a 5/5 but the book does have its flaws and things i find annoying. First of all, WOW... Just WOWWWW. I really admire the author, not only is this story unique, exciting and packed with endless plot twists, it's a first time for me to read a book that actually made me want to know what happens in every page. I literally couldn't put it down, i couldn't even think straight and if i try to stop reading it for a while, all i keep thinking about is 'what's going to happen next?' 'how are the characters going to react to that'. The whole idea of time traveling itself fascinates me enough to read this book already and this isn't just some random novel about a girl going back in time, there are so much creative plots and ideas used in this story that it just blew my mind away. Every time the questions get answered or the author explains how it happened, i am just sitting there speechless.

The whole setting in this book is kind of complicated since it's about time traveling and i don't think the author described or portrayed the setting good enough. It's a bit lacking in terms of world building because most of the time the places are just briefly described and doesn't have much of a background.

As for the characters, i love them. Yes even the 'evil' ones. They're just so dislikable you actually LIKE them that way. haha. Anyways, the character Em and Marina... at the start i was like oh two POVs, great... but then when i found out who they both are i was like 'OHHHHHHHHHHH'. I don't want to spoil this for anyone so just read the book to find out what i mean but yeah. i guess it was predictable, well, for me anyways but it was just so clever.
As much as how amazing these characters are, i still find Em and Marina both to be annoying at times. I feel that Em is a bit too weak and emotional and that her emotions affect her actions so much really bothers me but what the heck, she's still great. On the other hand, Marina gives the impression of a spoilt and rude girl and i didn't find her that exciting to read about but...BUT, there was such a great character development between all the characters that made me feel better. There was such a deep meaning behind friendships and love.
I found the entire book so gripping and easy to read, however, i just want to point out that i didn't really like the beginning of the book because it started straight away without much explanation of what's going on so it's a tad bit confusing although i know that the author explains what's going on throughout the whole story but still, it felt like i was reading a continued book in a series.
I actually felt emotional near the end... In the end there is such a huge plot twist that i was a bit confused and i have to admit, i did not get the ending or like it as much as i hoped to.

I think this book should deserve more hype, it's definitely on the same level as the hunger games and divergent if not better. Yes and just because it's just a stand alone doesn't mean it can't be good. Please read this!!!!!!!! xp
